Feel It Fiona

When You Might Meet Fiona

You might meet Fiona when:

- When a feeling is difficult to sit with.

- When you need comfort or reassurance.

- When you feel left out or compare yourself with others.

- When you make a mistake.

- When you want a quiet moment of connection.

- When you simply want to remember that you matter.

Feel It Fiona lives beneath the Rainbow Tree in Mini Magical Minds World. Her important job on the gold layer of the triangle is to remind us that we matter, we belong and all our feelings are welcome.

Fiona invites us to remember:

“However I am feeling, I am still me. I am enough, and I deserve kindness and care.”

Gold is not a reward or a place we have to reach. Fiona’s reminder belongs with us in every layer, through happy moments and difficult ones.

You don’t have to be happy, calm or successful to be worthy of love.

Your Heart Light

Fiona uses the idea of a heart light to help us picture the worth we carry inside.

It isn’t a real light you have to find or a special feeling you have to create. It is a gentle reminder that your worth is still there - even when you feel cross, sad, worried or unsure.

Your heart light doesn’t go out because you have a difficult day.

A Feel It Moment with Fiona

Choose a comfortable place with your grown-up. You can sit, stand, move gently or hold something comforting.

Notice

“What am I feeling right now?”

You might know its name, notice something in your body or simply say, “I’m not sure.”

Make room

“This feeling is here. I don’t have to tell myself off for having it.”

You can have a feeling without acting on every urge it brings.

Offer kindness

“What might feel caring right now?”

Perhaps being close to someone, having some space, crying, drawing or asking for help.

Give it time

Feelings may change, soften or return. You don’t have to make them leave or finish within a certain time.

Your grown-up might say:

“You can feel this, and I can stay with you.”

You Are More Than One Moment

You might shout, struggle with something or make a choice that hurts someone. That action may need attention and repair, but it does not describe everything about you.

We can say:

“What happened matters. You matter too. We can work out what to do next together.”

Fiona reminds us that love and belonging do not have to be earned through perfect behaviour.

Colour and Connect with Fiona

Enjoy colouring Fiona together. Your child could decorate her heart or add their own colours to the Rainbow Tree.

If they would like to, invite them to draw or talk about:

“Who helps you feel cared for?”

“What makes you wonderfully you?”

There is no need to find an answer. Simply sharing the colouring time is welcome too.

Helpful Language at Home and School

- “All your feelings are welcome.”

- “You don’t have to hide how you feel.”

- “You matter, even when things are hard.”

- “You don’t have to feel better for me.”

- “Would you like comfort, company or some space?”

- “You can ask for help.”

- “You are enough, just as you are.”

Ask your child’s teacher which Fiona phrases they use, so you can offer familiar reassurance at home.

Avoid phrases such as “Give me a smile”, “Don’t cry” or “Other people have it worse.” You can acknowledge their experience without needing to fix it immediately.

All feelings are welcome, and safety boundaries still matter. When needed, keep the limit clear, offer support and return later for repair.

“That moment was difficult. You are still loved, exactly as you are. We can work together to put things right.”
